My very first job was as a bagger at Winn Dixie. I was 14 and had special permission to work on the weekends. I quickly noticed that if I bagged the groceries and took care of them like I did for my mom, I received better tips. Customers were amazed that I knew to bag together items that belonged in the same place…all the freezer items with the freezer items so nothing was left to thaw out!

That level of care is often not seen in youth today. But it set me on a course to realize no matter what my task or job title is..my job is always customer service. Throughout the years, my customers have changed along with my tasks. My students are my customers. My colleagues and my management are my customers. My stakeholders are my customers. I try my best to serve them all well and to the best of my abilities!
